We serve the New Territories region of Hong Kong and provide for a student enrolment of 900. We are very well-resourced and share a campus with our partner secondary school, Sha Tin College.

Primary Years Programme Coordinator (PYPC) - TLR 2


We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced teacher to join the teaching team at Sha Tin Junior School in August 2018.

The ideal candidate will be committed to a collaborative approach to teaching and planning and will have considerable experience of the IBO PYP. S/he will preferably have previous experience in a PYPC role.

In addition to the PYPC role, the successful candidate will take on a curriculum leadership role, in conjunction with the Phase Vice Principal, for the Upper Phase of the school.

The position will be non-class based.


  • Bachelor Degree in Education, or
  • Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent
  • 5+ years teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation
  • Prior experience of holding a responsibility within a team

Short Term Parent Funded Education Assistant

Sha Tin Junior School is looking for a temporary part-time Educational Assistant to work for 17.5 hours a week with a child in Year 4. This position involves supporting a child with challenging needs. The successful candidate will work with the child on an one to one basis and will liaise closely with the class teacher, Learning Support Teacher and other professionals involved in the support programme. Applicants should demonstrate patience, initiative and preferably, but not necessarily, have previous experience working with children who present specific learning needs (Autism & ADHD).

The position will be available on 1 February 2018.
